What you’ll learn

After completing the Core modules in the first 10-12 weeks, you’ll move into a Specialism of your choice to apply your knowledge with depth in an area that’s most relevant to you.

Part 1: Applied AI for Business (Core)

Build an AI foundation • 10-12 weeks
Whether you work in finance, HR, sustainability or elsewhere, Part 1 gives you a shared foundation – practical AI skills grounded in business judgement.

Across 10 modules, you'll cover everything from understanding how AI is changing business decisions, to communicating the impact of AI in your own work.

This is where you learn not just how to use AI, but how to use it well.
- Understanding AI in business. What AI actually does and doesn't do in the workplace, and how it's changing the way decisions and value are created.
- Using AI in your work, right now. Applying AI to improve speed and quality in your current role – and diagnosing where it genuinely belongs and where it doesn't.
- Getting the inputs and outputs right. Capturing reliable information, turning it into useful business outputs, and validating that what AI produces is actually trustworthy.
- Using AI responsibly. Understanding the boundaries: risk, bias, privacy, and knowing when to keep a human in the loop – including when to automate and when not to.
- Making the impact visible. Integrating AI into the systems you already use, and communicating the value of what you've done so others can see it too.
By the end of Part 1, you'll be a more productive, confident, and credible contributor to AI in your workplace.
